Yemen
Yemen’s prolonged conflict and weakened health system continued to drive a critical TB situation in 2024. The true burden is expected to be substantially higher because limited surveillance, inaccessible regions and low case detection leave many people undiagnosed. With at least half of the country’s health facilities reportedly non-functional or only partially operational, restoring diagnostic capacity and maintaining access to treatment remain urgent priorities.

We have collaborated closely with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to support multiple health projects across the Middle East, including in Yemen.
2021
As part of the Middle East Response (MER), we delivered 7 Delft Light X-ray systems, each equipped with the CAD4TB, to support rapid screening and triage of TB in settings where access to diagnostic infrastructure is limited.
