Sustainability
and social initiatives

We integrate sustainability into our operations and technologies, reducing emissions, resource use, and waste. Our solar-powered diagnostic solutions expand healthcare access with a lower environmental footprint.

Climate-resilient technology

Our solutions are designed to perform reliably in the world’s most challenging environments, without compromising on sustainability.

Energy-independent diagnostics

Our diagnostic solutions are fully operable on solar energy. Our solar power packs enabled use in areas without grid access, reducing reliance on diesel and lowering emissions.

Repair-first service model

Since 2024, our service and helpdesk teams have prioritized local repairs over replacements. In 2025, over 30% of solar panels were restored using locally available tools and materials.

Preventive maintenance and local sourcing

Preventive maintenance was performed on more than 200 systems across 20 countries. In 10% of replacement cases, components were sourced locally to reduce transport and support regional supply chains.

Extending product life

We provide detailed usage guidance and remote training to healthcare teams to reduce transport and support regional supply chains.

Sustainability in operations

We integrate sustainability into daily operations across energy, procurement, and waste. From utilities to office supplies, we actively work towards reducing our environmental footprint and support towards a circular economy.

Our impact at scale:

100 % of renewable electricity
in our Dutch headquarters (2025).
98.7 % of renewable electricity
that was generated in the Netherlands.
  • We partnered with Eden: People + Planet in 2025, a nonprofit that works with local communities on landscape restoration and conservation.
  • We retrospectively offset our 2023 flight footprint (33,963 kg CO₂) through Eden, as 2024 flight data was not yet available. We recognize the limits to reducing flights today and set up this partnership to take responsibility while we keep improving.

Responsible procurement
and waste management

All coffee, tea, and milk products consumed in our
Dutch headquarters carry the UTZ-certified mark.

Printer cartridges are recycled through certified programs

Used batteries are dropped at Albert Heijn collection points for certified recycling. Printer cartridges are recycled through certified programs, with proceeds supporting the KiKa.

We recycled 5,800+ beverage containers

In 2025, we recycled 5,800+ beverage containers through the Dutch deposit system, raising money in support of community initiatives, including programs at Community Center Graafsewijk Noord.

Collect beer caps

We also collect beer caps for recycling with proceeds benefiting the Diabetes Foundation.

Food deliveries

Food deliveries are locally sourced and adjusted based on office attendance to avoid waste. Leftover produce is redistributed or donated through Froot, our food supply partner.
