Timor-Leste continued to face one of the highest TB burdens in the WHO South-East Asia Region in 2024. Mobile digital X-ray and AI-supported screening, together with expanded molecular testing, are helping improve access to diagnosis in remote communities.

2018

To help close diagnostic gaps, we introduced the country’s first CAD4TB.

2022 

2 Delft Light portable X-ray systems and 3 CAD4TB installations were delivered to the tuberculosis programme, followed by an additional CAD4TB system to further strengthen screening and early detection efforts.
