Ukraine
Ukraine continued to face one of the highest TB burdens in the WHO European Region in 2024. Drug-resistant TB remained a critical concern, accounting for approximately 29% of newly diagnosed cases and 43% of cases among previously treated patients. Ongoing conflict, damaged health facilities and disruptions to essential services contributed to an estimated one in two TB cases being missed or unnotified. Mobile diagnostics, decentralized care and sustained international support remain essential to maintaining screening and treatment access.
