Sudan
Sudan’s ongoing conflict has severely disrupted access to tuberculosis care. Rising cases, increased mortality, and gaps in diagnosis highlight the urgent need to restore and expand access to TB services.
25K+ people
developed TB in 2023
11K+ individuals
went undiagnosed
5.6K TB-related deaths
were recorded
Our work in Sudan
To help address these challenges, we have been actively involved in strengthening TB detection in Sudan.
2016
We delivered a Delft OneStopTB X-ray Clinic through a procurement by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The clinic was equipped with an EasyDR digital X-ray system and CAD4TB to support TB screening in remote and underserved areas.
2024
We expanded this support by delivering 5 Delft Light systems and 5 CAD4TB units to the Ministry of Health through the Global Drug Facility (GDF).
