Managing Director and Product Manager give a Delft Light training to NTP Romania

Tuberculosis continues to affect thousands of people in Romania each year and remains a significant public health concern. Ongoing challenges include the detection and treatment of drug-resistant TB and TB-HIV co-infections, as well as gaps in identifying and reaching all people affected by the disease.

Our work in Romania

E-detect TB mobile clinic in Romania

2016

Our involvement in Romania began with the E-DETECT TB project, where we delivered EasyDR digital X-ray systems paired with CAD4TB to support mobile screening among vulnerable populations. In collaboration with the National Institute of Pneumophtisiology “Marius Nasta” and the National TB Control Program, mobile teams conducted radiological screening and sputum testing across communities nationwide. The project helped advance mobile and AI-supported TB screening in Europe and strengthened linkage to care.
