Our work in Romania
2016
Our involvement in Romania began with the E-DETECT TB project, where we delivered EasyDR digital X-ray systems paired with CAD4TB to support mobile screening among vulnerable populations. In collaboration with the National Institute of Pneumophtisiology “Marius Nasta” and the National TB Control Program, mobile teams conducted radiological screening and sputum testing across communities nationwide. The project helped advance mobile and AI-supported TB screening in Europe and strengthened linkage to care.
2022
Building on that foundation, 5 Delft Light systems were provided to the Ministry of Health in Romania and deployed in Bucharest to continue supporting TB detection efforts.
2024
The Ministry added another Delft Light to its screening network.
2025
A Delft Light system with CAD4TB was delivered by Health Through Walls to Jilava Prison Hospital, helping to ensure early TB detection in closed settings where transmission risks are high.
