Our work in Libya

2014

To help strengthen national TB services, we assisted the Ministry of Health in Libya by providing 5 EasyDR systems. These were installed in TB centres in Tripoli, Zliten, and Bani Waleed, helping to expand access to digital chest X-rays. In Libya, annual TB screenings are mandatory for both Libyan citizens and foreign workers seeking employment permits. The country’s location also places additional demand on its health system, as TB centres manage screenings for large numbers of migrants entering through its southern borders. Our work supported these facilities in addressing both routine screening needs and the broader effort to combat TB transmission.
