How long-term collaboration with national and clinical partners enabled AI-supported imaging solutions to strengthen TB screening and early maternal risk detection in Kenya.
Kenya’s battles for equity in health,
with Delft Imaging
Kenya faces ongoing challenges in lung and maternal health, particularly in early detection and access to care in remote areas. Tuberculosis remains a major public health concern, while rural and peri-urban communities continue to face barriers to timely diagnosis and referral, underscoring the need for decentralized screening solutions.

Our work in Kenya
We have supported Kenya’s TB and maternal health efforts for over a decade.
2010
We delivered an X-ray system to the National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) of Kenya. Today, that system is still operational.
2019
The African Institute for Development Policy received a TB screening solution.
2021
We delivered 8 Delft Light with 8 CAD4TB to the Ministry of Health through the iNTP project, supported by the Stop TB Partnership and funded by USAID. This deployment included installation, training, and ongoing support.
2024
2 BabyChecker systems were deployed in Kenya through Hatch Technology and PharmAccess Foundation to support antenatal care in rural and underserved areas. In Kisumu County, BabyChecker has been implemented with local and international partners to expand access to maternal health screening services.
